St. Helena’s Cameo Cinema was founded in 1913, and is one of California's oldest continuously operated single-screen movie theaters. Over the past 16 years, owner Cathy Buck has infused this classic ‘movie palace’ with Napa Valley’s legendary style and hospitality. With her pioneering spirit she has brought the theater into the 21st Century, installing the latest innovative cinema technology and crafting a world-class film experience, equal to any great movie house, anywhere in the world.
The Cameo Cinema has had many names since its creation, but its purpose as a welcoming neighborhood spot to forget your cares for a little while has never changed. During these challenging times, we have proven that the theater could do something more than show movies, it could become a powerful reminder that storytelling not only entertains — that it can still create a kind of grand communal, cultural happening that simply can’t be replicated on streaming platforms.

The Cameo Cinema Foundation (CCF) is a non-profit alliance of patrons, donors, and local businesses, whose mission is to safeguard this historic theater, and to ensure that it continues to entertain, educate and inspire the Napa Valley for generations to come.
The community's robust financial support allows the Cameo Cinema and the CCF to host and create the programs you love - designed to stimulate, engage and create memories that will never be forgotten.
